Your information, explained
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026
Refill is a personal bill organizer. The app does not connect to financial institutions or operate an account service for your bill records. This policy explains the information you choose to enter and the Apple system features used when you choose voice input, photos, sharing, or reminders.
Information you choose to add
You may enter bill names, categories, due dates and recurrence, estimated amount ranges, notes, income date schedules, payment dates, actual amounts, payment notes, and receipt or bill images. You can also choose a display currency and reminder settings. The app does not ask for bank credentials, card numbers, or financial account access.
Photos and camera
When you choose an image from Photos or take a picture with the camera, Refill receives the image you select or capture so it can appear with the related bill or payment record. The iOS photo picker lets you choose the specific items to provide. The app does not scan your photo library or retrieve online bill pages.
Voice dictation
If you use the microphone control to draft a bill note, the app uses the iOS microphone and Speech framework. Dictation audio is supplied to Apple's speech recognition service while the feature is active. Depending on device capability, language, and system settings, Apple may process that audio on its servers. Apple's handling of speech data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Refill does not create or retain an audio recording. The recognized words appear in the note field; they become part of a bill only when you save it.
How information is used
The information you enter is used to show bill schedules, amount ranges, payment records, receipt images, income date references, and monthly summaries inside the app. If you enable reminders, iOS schedules local notifications on your device. Refill does not send bill reminders through a push-notification server.
Where information goes
Refill does not operate a server that receives your bill records, notes, or receipt images, and it does not sell that information or share it for advertising. Voice dictation may involve Apple speech processing as described above. If you choose to share a monthly summary using the iOS share sheet, the content is delivered to the destination you select and is then subject to that destination's terms and privacy practices.
App information is held on your device. Apple device backup settings may include app information in a backup; those backups are managed by Apple and your device settings.
Retention and deletion
Your records remain available on your device until you delete them. Deleting a bill in the app also removes its associated payment records and receipt images. You can manage Apple device backups separately in your device settings. If you delete or offload the app, iOS behavior and your backup settings determine whether app information is removed or retained.
Permissions and your choices
Camera and microphone access are requested only when you use the related feature. Speech recognition permission is needed for dictation. Notifications are optional. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings; turning a permission off may make the associated feature unavailable.
Children's privacy
Refill is a general personal organization app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Refill server.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected in the policy available for the app.
